With a bank of almost £17, and coming off the back of my 2 most profitable trades I hit the shops again looking for some more bargains to sell. Following the success of the Spontex mop sale, I was now scouring the bargain aisles on every trip to the shops for possible items to shortlist…
This was the first time that I had been able to shortlist LEGO! This is a great product to invest in as a longer term alternative investment, but unfortunately both sets I found here didn’t show a margin when I factored in fees and postage. Instead I went for the Thermos ‘Super Light’ travel tumbler. At just shy of £9 I was only using half my budget, and the fact that it was ‘Super Light’ meant I shouldn’t be stung too heavily on the postage front.
As with the Magic the Gathering cards this was another solid trade. The item sold in a little over 2 weeks for £15.75, with a £1.26 profit. Rolling up to a decent pot will take some patience, but if I can keep adding 10-15% return for the next load of trades the pot will snowball! On again and back to the shops…
