After the £17 profit on the last trade I had a relatively huge pot of £70.65 to play with here. The issue I had was that whilst I had money, I had no time! Everything in my life was getting squeezed at this point, and I barely managed to shortlist any items whilst on my weekly shop..
Stretched for time I did a quick search of online sales. I found a Dragon Ball Z advent calendar which seemed to have been popular online. Stressed by the lack of purchases I just went for it, at a cost of £25.49 delivered.
Here was where the luck from my previous trades ran out. I don’t know whether it was the brain fog from lack of sleep, but in hindsight I can’t explain why I thought buying an advent calendar in February was a good idea..
The item sat, and sat, with no interest whatsoever. After a bull run of listings I was now holding on a loss. I could wait until the next Christmas, where I would probably break even, or I could sell at a loss earlier and use the rest of the year to build back and keep building. I decided to cut my losses, reduced the item to £17.99, and after 3 months took the hit of £13.51 loss. Painful, and almost wiping out the profit from the previous trade.
Moving forwards I need to get back to good thorough shortlisting, really researching the bargains and the bank will increase again. For now I’ve just got to swallow this loss and move on..
