Ferrari Daytona SP3 The Sense of Perfection

I hadn’t purchased any LEGO yet, but always scoured the shelves for potential bargains, as well as checking out the website for any deals.

This is what led me to my next purchase, my first LEGO purchase wasn’t a set but rather a book. As with the Transformers stamp set on the previous trade the book to accompany the Ferrari Daytona model was a limited run, giving it a great collectability. 

 I bought the item for £54.99 and managed to sell it in a week for £88. This gave me an overall profit of £14.97, or an increase in the bank of just over £2 a day! The item was re-released by LEGO without the slip case in 2022. Having an original ‘slip case’ version is still highly sought after, now selling for upwards of £170 online. 

The great news for the project was that the £14.97 profit brought my overall total to £103.42, smashing through my next target! It certainly seems a long way away from the £1 that I began with..
