Disney Arendelle Castle Frozen 2

I’d previously had experience of buying from the Disney Store with a Chip ‘n’ Dale Lunar set earlier on in the project. Whilst that hadn’t gone to plan, Disney memorabilia is so sought after I felt that there it was worth another look. I was also keen to try and put a greater percentage of my total bank into a product, to try and accelerate the potential returns. Given that I now had over £100 in the bank I was looking at more of the top end of the website.

I went for the Arendelle Castle from Frozen 2 at £70. I felt that the enduring popularity of Frozen would mean there would always be a stream of buyers, and the price reduction – down from £125 would mean that there was a margin somewhere in the middle.

Unfortunately as with the Chip ‘n’ Dale set, I got my timing wrong with the purchase. The set is now discontinued as sells for much more due to its scarcity, but at the time the Disney Store reduced the price further and the price on ebay dropped accordingly.

I ended up selling for marginally more than the purchase price at £78.95 many months later. Though with fees of £10.40 and postage at £9, I ended up losing £10.45. Having just past the £100 mark, I was now back below it at £92.96. Back to the research for something that can be flipped faster…
